Quesnel RCMP are investigating assaults, firearm possession and stolen property cases after a busy start to the week.

At about 3 p.m. on Monday, May 22, police were called to a residence on Flamingo Street for the complaint of an assault with a weapon. Officers surrounded the residence and eventually arrested three persons inside. Two search warrants were executed at the residence and multiple firearms were located and seized. This investigation is still in the early stages and is ongoing.

On May 23 at around 3 a.m., police saw a suspicious vehicle on Newman Road being driven by a prolific property offender. The driver, as well as his three passengers, were all arrested for being in possession of property obtained by crime and other offences. The investigation into this matter is also ongoing.
