Quesnel RCMP are seeking the public’s help to find a suspect in a robbery which occurred Monday Dec. 3 downtown Quesnel.

At approximately 5 p.m., Quesnel RCMP were called to CashCo Financial, at 257 Reid Street, after a report of a robbery.

A male suspect entered the business with his face covered, holding a handgun, according to an RCMP press release. He produced a note demanding money. The clerk provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect left the business on foot.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Brown eyes
  • 6’2” in height
  • Described as “fit”

The suspect was wearing a black leather jacket with a grey hoodie and black sweatpants.

An RCMP news release states the suspect was physical with the store clerk but the clerk did not sustain any injuries from the event.

Sgt. Chris Riddle with the Quesnel RCMP says they are looking for tips from the public. “Even if you saw something a little strange, or you think someone probably already called it in, just give us a call. We’d rather have multiple calls on the same thing than no calls,” he said.

If anyone was in downtown Quesnel around this time and observed this man or any other suspicious behaviour around this time they are asked to call the Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
