Dangerous Curves Motorcycle Club held their second annual toy run to Barkerville. All toys and proceeds went to the Quesnel GreenHope Society.
Last year’s event helped more than 200 families and the turnout on Sept. 2 indicated at least as many would be supported again this year.
This year’s event included a silent auction, 50-50 raffle, and trophies for notable riders. Barkerville helped the event with a flat entry rate for all participants and use of the pavilion for the reception area.
The White Cap Motel in Wells provided favourable room rates, and a buffet dinner was held at Diggy’s Diner.
Riders participated from Quesnel, Prince George, Williams Lake, and Chilliwack.
The Quesnel GreenHope Society is a not-for-profit organization that, in part, rescues food from grocery stores destined for landfills into the hands of people in need of food security.
