Roadside check took four commercial vehicles off the road

On March 8, Williams Lake Traffic Services, Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services from Quesnel, Prince George Regional Traffic Services, partnered with Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement Officers and conducted a roadside check on Highway 97 about 10 kilometres north of Deep Creek.

During the time spent at the roadside check, police issued more than 50 violation charges, as well as more than 140 notices and orders for various vehicle defects.

Among the violations, one person was charged for driving while suspended, and police made two drug seizures.

More than 220 commercial vehicles were checked for compliance, and of those, four were put out of service for a variety of reasons and some were issued violation charges.
