Santa makes an early visit to Quesnel

Santa Extravaganza returns at Spirit Square

Quesnel’s Spirit Square was into the holiday spirit.

The Quesnel Downtown Association hosted Santa Extravaganza Saturday, Dec. 4, attracting hundreds of people for hot chocolate, s’mores, fun games and more.

Santa waved from the top of a ladder fire truck on Reid Street before climbing down to say hello to all of his fans and friends and for photo opportunities.

The Quesnel Kangaroos were also there to play games of street hockey.

Fireworks by the Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department lit up the early evening sky near Ceal Tingley Park to conclude the festive event that was cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
