Highway 97 is now fully open, now that emergency crews are finished at the scene of a crash, according to a witness driver.
The online transportation service website DriveBC reported this afternoon (June 14) that a motor vehicle incident between Alexandria Ferry South Rd. and Moffat Lake Rd. caused a section of the highway to be fully blocked off for a 1.2 km stretch (37 to 36 km south of Quesnel). There was no available detour.
There are unofficial reports that the MVI resulted in serious injury or fatality. The Observer will continue to monitor the information from authorities.
