Several uniforms pulled together to help Quesnel crash victim

Lone occupant reportedly ok after road rescue

A team effort among first responders brought a motor vehicle incident to a successful conclusion.

Quesnel Fire Department, Quesnel RCMP and BC Ambulance were called to a single vehicle crash on Wiersma Road 2:20 p.m. Friday (Aug. 9) afternoon.

The lone occupant of the vehicle received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to GR Baker hospital by ambulance for examination.

As the vehicle had gone down a steep embankment, the emergency responders led by the Quesnel Fire Department utilized their skills and equipment to safely transport the patient up the bank to the roadside where she was then lifted into the ambulance and taken to hospital.

The cause of the incident was not disclosed as of deadline.
