This Northern Pygmy-Owl was photographed in Quesnel as it waited patiently for a wintering songbird to come into sight. The Northern Pygmy-Owls can be found throughout British Columbia. They hunt by day and if you see a flock of songbirds mobbing an area, you might see this tiny predator.
