UPDATE: Two MVIs slowing traffic on Highway 97 between Williams Lake and Prince George

One incident is near Wildwood, with the other just south of Hixon

UPDATE:

Drive BC is reporting no incidents currently on this route, with traffic patterns back to normal.

Travel advisories are in effect.

ORIGINAL:

Drive BC is reporting two motor vehicle incidents on Highway 97 today (Jan. 3) between Williams Lake and Prince George.

A vehicle incident between Mountain House Road and Kragbak Road, 8 kilometres north of Wildwood between Williams Lake and Quesnel, has reduced traffic to one lane.

Slushy road conditions on the highway are reported between that incident and Alexandria, just south of Quesnel.

Slippery sections are still reported from Alexandria to Hixon.

A vehicle incident at Morgan Road, about 12 kilometres south of Hixon, has reduced traffic to single lane alternating. Compact snow with slippery sections are reported in the area, and Drive BC reports that it is currently snowing.
