UPDATE: Two-vehicle collision on Hwy 97 results in no serious injuries

A car and a pickup truck crashed at the intersection with Basalt Road


Traffic is now flowing in both directions on Highway 97.


Quesnel RCMP and Volunteer Fire Department are responding to a motor vehicle incident at Highway 97 and Basalt Road this afternoon (Dec. 7). The call came in just after 1:30 p.m.

Two vehicles, a car and a pickup truck, were involved in a collision, with no serious injuries reported, according to officials at the scene.

The highway will be reopened within the hour, and southbound drivers are being redirected through Maple Drive and Red Bluff Road.
