An honour guard ceremony was held at the celebration of life for Brian Morgan of the Quesnel Fire Rescue Department. Streets were closed in the downtown, a march of flags was held into the Quesnel Seniors’ Centre, an official firefighter eulogy was presented, as well as the symbolic placing of tools, ringing the fire bell three times to signal “all clear” and final dispatch allowing Morgan to stand down from duty.

Morgan died on May 19 from cancer, which was diagnosed during his time as a firefighter. Cancer is an affliction connected with firefighting.
