St. Laurent Avenue to receive facelift and infrastructure upgrades

The revitalization of St. Laurent Avenue between Kinchant and Reid Streets began Thursday. The $1 million project is funded through the Quesnel Works: Capital Reinvestment Program and will see complete street re-paving, new curbs, gutters and sidewalks, drainage improvements, a new storm sewer system and landscaping.

Charges finalized in Massey case

The bail hearing for David George Massey has, once again, been delayed. Massey was scheduled in provincial court Thursday for his arraignment hearing, it is now slated for Aug. 16.

Quesnel transit expanding

Quesnel Transit is expanding. And it comes as no surprise considering in 2010, more than 83,000 residents chose the bus. “That’s a four per cent increase from 2009,” City of Quesnel transportation manager Harlene Hunt said.
