Abram Bergen was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan on September 25, 1926. He was raised in a Mennonite home in Luseland, Saskatchewan with his seven siblings. While in his early twenties, Abe moved to Langley, BC with his parents to help on their dairy farm. He followed his brother John to Quesnel in 1951.

Abe’s love of automobiles led him to a job at Johnston Bros. Motors where he started by pumping gas and working in the parts department. He worked his way up to Parts Manager and remained at the garage until 1988.

In 1955 he met and married Jannette Bogle. Their son Danny was born on April 22, 1956. Their life together was filled with love, family and friends. Abe’s great faith and generosity were just two of his attributes.

Abe is lovingly remembered by his wife; Jan, son; Danny and his wife Cam, grandchildren; Natasha, Jeff and Kevin, brothers; Jack and Sam, sisters; Mary and Anne, as well as many close family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; Soloman and Marie, brothers; Pete, John and Ben.

The family would like to thank the home care nurses, doctors and

nursing staff at G.R. Baker and the Palliative Care Unit for all of their compassionate care.
