Mom was born and raised in Coquitlam, B.C. where she also married Aurele Langlois on June 26, 1948 at our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and raised her family there. After Dad had an accident at work, mom decided they needed to slow down and have a hobby, so she took night classes and they started Lapidary Jewelery. When they moved to Quesnel in 1975 they were well into rock hounding. Alma and her husband Aurele made and sold Lapidary Jewelery. A number of people will remember their sales at the mall. They lived in the Quesnel area from 1975 to 2001.

Alma is survived by her husband Aurele Langlois, children; Jean (Adrien Cretien), Andre (Karen) Langlois, Leon (Cathy) Langlois, Michelle (Ray L’Abbe), Gerard (Patty) Langlois, grandchildren; Lucielle Cretien, Jennifer & Jackie Langlois, Stephanie Langlois, Eugene Cretien, Paul Langlois, Tiffany Langlois, Kyle Langlois, great grandchildren; Bradley H., Jasmine, Kiera, Danika, sister, Laura Frigon, brother Paul Croteau and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
