Ann Lorrain Gillespie of Quesnel, B.C. passed away at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital April 4, 2008.

A service was held on April 14 at St. John the Divine Anglican Church with Reverend Margot Rose officiating.

Ann is inurned at the Tranquility Gardens.

The service was a joyful celebration of Ann’s very full life. With people gathered from all walks of her life; harpists, singers, artists, her church, the medical community. Two hundred of her colleagues and friends gathered in St. John’s Church and hall to remember Ann and to honour her memory. It was a joyful event which at the same time gave space for the sadness we all felt at her passing.

Ann was born in England, May 23, 1931 and was raised in England where she attended school and took her training to become a physiotherapist, before coming to Canada.

She lived in the Quesnel area for 40 years where she was a physiotherapist, belonged to the Anglican Church Choir and played harp with her friends.

Ann is survived by her special friend Josie, brother James (Priscilla), cousin Grizelle, nieces Susan and Chris, Jane (Mike), Mary, nephew Andy (Susan), great nieces and great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.
