"A Life Lived Joyfully"
Anna Cherie LeBlanc, age 35, of Quesnel, BC, passed away in her Mom's arms with her Dad by her side in the Quesnel Hospice on October 20, 2021.
Anna was born on February 20, 1986, in McBride, BC. Her family moved to Quesnel in 1988 when Anna was two years old. Anna, together with her brother David, enjoyed many happy years in Quesnel's inclusive school system beginning with her time in the Child Development Centre until her graduation from QSS in 2005. After graduation, Anna entered the Prima Enterprises Recycling Program where she spent many happy hours until 2020.
Anna found great joy in life. She loved animals, babies and children, cooking, wearing dresses and pearls, listening to upbeat music, dancing, watching Glee and parades. She loved family time and clowning around with her friends and caregivers. She was especially close to her brother David who will miss her constant companionship very much.
Anna is survived by her parents Reg and Lynn LeBlanc and her siblings, Rachel (Justin), Sarah (Tod), Sidney (Curtis) and David; her Grandma Talbot and Nana LeBlanc; her nephews and nieces Forrest (Kayla), Eli, Ava and Isabelle; her many aunts and uncles; her Ate Noeme and her extended Lltako Dene family; little Icelynn, whom she loved dearly, and Frank and Sharon Boucher.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Martins, Dr. Matthew, the G. R. Baker 3rd floor nurses and the Quesnel Hospice nurses. Special thanks to Anna's many caregivers over the years, especially to the staff of Prima Resources and to her Dengarry caregivers who loved her and cared for her as their own during her long illness.
Donations in Anna's memory can be made to the Quesnel and District Child Development Centre or, via canadahelps.org, to the North Cariboo Aboriginal Family Program Society.
A come-and-go celebration tea in memory of Anna will be announced in the spring of 2022.
