With deepest sympathy we announce the passing of Anne Rowlandson.

Anne was born on July 15, 1929 to Paul and Eva Kascak in Calgary, Alberta. She spent her childhood years growing up in Kelowna, B.C.

Anne came to Quesnel in 1951 and met and married Joseph Rowlandson in 1952. She worked for the school board, then started her family, having a daughter Leisa.

Anne made many friendships in the following years in the Cariboo, volunteering at Dunrovin Lodge for 28 years, enjoying the outdoors, working in her garden and weeding her flowers were some of her favorite passtimes. Anne enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up attending many sporting and school events to support them.

She is survived by Leisa (Wayne), grandsons Justin Bisson, Rob Madden, Trevor, Lia and great grandsons Sean and Grant Bisson.

Special thanks to Dr. Slabbert and staff of Fraserview Medical Clinic and the nurses on 3rd floor at the hospital, also to many of her close friends for their help and support.

There will be an interment held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11 am at the Quesnel Cemetery. An afternoon tea in Anne’s honour will follow from 12 noon to 3 pm at the Quesnel Legion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dunrovin Lodge in memory of Anne Rowlandson.
