Anne was born in Outlook, Sask. to John & Georgie Matheson. Anne grew up on a farm in Archerwill, Sask., with her two brothers Vincent & John. After her father passed away in 1941 they moved to PEI, where Anne went to college. A few years later they returned to Archerwill. Anne went to work at the Bank of Montreal in Tisdale, Sask. With the bank she had many opportunities to move to Flin Flon, Manitoba, Port Alberni, Nelson and finally Quesnel, B.C.

Quesnel is where she met the love of her life, Ernie Sales. They married in 1956 and had four children Doug, Ron, Jim and Lori. During these years, Anne became a member of the Royal Purple and found a passion for curling. In 1982 they moved to Clearbrook, BC, where they met many new friends and returned to Quesnel 6 years later. Anne loved to walk and always kept very busy. She spent many hours creating beautiful quilts. The travel bug led Anne and Ernie to many world wide destinations. They looked forward to their Snow Bird trips every winter. She loved spending time with her grandchildren playing games, telling stories and feeding them her infamous pickles and jellies.

Anne is survived by children Doug (Lynn), Jim (Elizabeth), Lori (Kelvin), grandchildren Jared (Tiffany), Cory, Mario (Camille), Shayna, Kalisse, Beverly, Rhonna, great grandmother to Maia. Anne will be joined in Heaven with husband Ernie, son Ronald, baby girl, her parents, brothers Vincent and John.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dercksen, Dr. Aziz and all the wonderful staff at GR Baker Hospital & the Hospice House. Thank you for all the cards, food, flowers, donations, and condolences, they were very much appreciated.

She will be sadly missed
