Arnold NORDIN

July 7, 2016

December 31, 1927 – July 7, 2016

A kind and gentle man now at rest. Dad was born in Shell Lake, SK. Mom and Dad were married in Salmon Arm, BC and moved their growing family to Quesnel, BC in 1953. Dad was a well respected and career faller in Quesnel and the Queen Charlotte Islands. He once single handedly fell a tree 18 feet across the butt, and partnered to fall one 23 feet across the butt. He was a modest man who loved his family. He prided himself on being a good pool and cribbage player, and he enjoyed hunting and shing. Dad was predeceased by his parents John and Astrid Nordin, our Mom, Pearl Nordin (nee Smith), his brother William Nordin, sisters Olga Worts, and Ethel McKay. Dad leaves to mourn him, his four sons, Lyle Nordin (Dianne) Ladysmith, BC. Doug Nordin (Paula) Townsville, Queensland. Barry Nordin (Peter) Halifax, NS. Leonard Nordin, Quesnel, BC. He leaves ve grandchildren, Jody Nordin, Lindsey Conover (Nathan), Misty Thomas, Don Nordin (Leena), Robert Nordin. Two great-grandchildren, Everley Conover and Ethan Conover. He leaves his partner of many years, Bernice Policheck and her family. Dad passed away peacefully at home after su ering a massive heart attack in January. We are thankful for the additional six months he gave us. Thank you to Len for his wonderful care during Dad’s nal months. There will be no service, by request. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation are gratefully accepted. Please tip a glass and think of Arnie. He fell his last tree.
