Barbara Adelaide Weaver of Quesnel, B.C. passed away at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital on March 19, 2008.

A memorial service was held on March 31 with Rev. Teri Meyers officiating. Pallbearers were Bob Fitzgerald Jr., Kurt Rainey, Tyler Olsen, Adam Severeid, Dan Patchett and Richard Voykin.

Barbara came into this world in Fairbanks, Alaska, born second of three children and raised there until seven years of age. With her family, she moved to Clackamas, Oregon in 1955. There she attended grade and high school, graduating in 1966.

Immigrating to Canada in 1969 she met her loving husband Gary Weaver and they were married on Sept. 5, 1970. They permanently resided in Quesnel, B.C. raising Rebecca and Donovan Weaver.

Barbara lived for and loved her parents, children, grandchildren and friends without a sense of self. She went far above the responsibilities of a daughter, mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She will be missed more than words are able to express.

Barbara is survived by her parents Ethel and Robert Fitzgerald Sr., husband Gary Weaver, children Rebecca and Donovan Weaver, sister Ethel Blanche Fitzgerald Stark, brother Bob Fitzgerald Jr., nieces Lori Vaughan, Elizabeth Stark, Katine Fenter and Wendy Fitzgerald, nephews R.A. Stark, Rob Fitzgerald and Ryan Fitzgerald, grandchildren Tatum and Siddalee Visser. Barbara will be missed by her life long friend Pat Durocher.
