On September 9th, Ben Chan a long time resident of Quesnel passed away.
He lived in Quesnel for 69 years and had recently moved to Coquitlam to be closer to family.
Ben retired in 1998 from the restaurant business (Nugget Cafe, New Nugget Cafe and Ben's Westside Kitchen) where he enjoyed the company of his customers, friends and devoted staff.
Ben was an incredibly loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his Wife Mary; Sons Peter and Fred, Daughter Judy and 5 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Ben lived a full life. He really loved spending time with family and friends, eating good food and going to the casino.
We will dearly miss his infectious smile, his laughter, and his generous and kind heart.
