October 10, 1935 - December 30, 2020
Married Dec 1952 in Kamloops until 1973 to Robert William Thibeault (deceased). Married Dec 1980 to Bill (William Cyr) (deceased).
Beth (Elizabeth) Cyr passed Dec. 30, 2020 knowing that she was loved. She left behind her son Greg Thibeault (Susan) and daughters Linda Thibeault (Tom Duncan) and Cindy Thibeault (Darcy Longeway).
She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and GiGi for her grandchildren, Krista Buck (Josh), Sean Duncan (Rachel Glew), Candace Copley (Kane), Stephen Katzel (Helena Parker), Kyle Duncan (Steph Schisler) and Deven Longeway (Kayla Blennerhassett) and great grandchildren.
She has left behind her sister Sheila Dunn, brother Charlie Robertson and sister- in-law Audrey Robertson along with her nieces and nephews . She also became a step mom in 1980 for Don, Wendy Lanes and Julie Pengelly.
Her life and love was her family. Her cousin Ann in Scotland and Faye in Australia will miss her phone calls that she valued so much.
During her working years she seldom had only one job but she always had time to spend time with her family camping, celebrating birthdays and holidays, hiking, canning and baking. Many hours were spent watching sports games or Christmas concerts or reading books with the little ones.
She loved each and every one so much and was so proud of them. She taught them so much. Most importantly that family is so important. She taught them to be honest and hard working and to be kind.
Beth was a very active member in the community and valued the many friends she has made through her time spent volunteering. Especially after retiring she was very active with the Legion LA, Dunrovin Park Lodge, Maeford Place, Seniors Advocacy and Better At Home.
There are so many places that she has lent a helping hand over the years. She was selfless and giving and absolutely hated to be recognized for what she did. Knowing that she was helping was her aim.
She loved to travel as well and had many great stories to tell of her grand adventures from all over the world. (Not a lot of photos though, she was a terrible photographer). Her favorite travel spots though were always the camping trips with friends and family.
She believed strongly in staying healthy and always maintained a steady fitness regime from walking the pathwalk to a strict gym program and even a yoga retreat in Hawaii (at the age of eighty). She always believed that if you had an ache or a pain that you should deal with it through exercise and good food.
She also found a lot of joy in her garden. It was a place to work in to take her mind off her worries and a place for family and friends to gather for a celebration or a cold drink on a sunny day.
Beth is predeceased by her parents, Her brothers Alistair, Ken and Bob (Robert) Robertson. Her step grandson Jamie Lanes. Her husbands Robert W. Thibeault and Bill (William) Cyr.
Her family would like to thank all her kind and thoughtful "adopted kids" and good friends for their love and support through some difficult times. She was so proud of the fact that she had so many good people in her life.
We would also like to thank all the "angels" that she had helping her at the oncology department, Dr. Elbira and his staff and the people that do such a wonderful job in the Hospice Center. Quesnel is very lucky to have you all.
