It is with deep sadness that the family of Betty Kastelan announces her sudden passing. Betty leaves to carry on her legacy her children Gail (Bernie) Bell, Don (Sharron) Bell, Richard (Bev) Bell, Ted Bell, Maureen (John) Vair, Val (Al) Kastelan; grandchildren Wayne, Jennifer, Jason, Theresa, Allison, Emma, Josh and Ethan; great-granddaughter Sierra; and siblings John Nielsen, Inger Grieves. She is predeceased by her parents Laurits and Ellen, brother Asger, sister Martha and husbands Wayne Bell and Edmund Kastelan.

Betty lived in Quesnel from 1970 to 1980; she loved to go fishing and camping; she volunteered with church activities and the crisis line. Mom was an excellent cook, a crafty seamstress and knitted and crocheted many gifts. Betty will be remembered for her gentle calm ways and for her resilience to recover from life’s challenges. Betty will be missed but never forgotten by her family and friends. A service was held on November 27th at Henderson Funeral Home in Chilliwack, BC.
