It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our dad, Carl Stamnes at the age of 88, in Quesnel, B.C.
Carl was born in Robsart, Sask., where he spent his childhood. He served his country with distinction during the second world war in Africa and Europe.
He returned to Canada and worked in British Columbia’s forests as a faller and later as a lumber grader.
Carl is predeceased by his wife Beatrice and brother Alvin.
Carl leaves to mourn, his son Gary Bird (Sandy) of Cranbrook, daughters Maureen White of Ottawa, Donna (Keith Wilson) Prince George, Carla (Chris Becker), Kamloops, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Carl chose cremation and no service.
