At the age of 18 Dad joined the military which included spending time in Europe. After discharge, Dad moved West to B.C. where he met his wife, Marie Dyck, in Merritt and were married May 6th,1961. They later moved to Princeton, BC, where his two daughters Judy and Patti were born.
In 1965, Charles moved his family to Quesnel where he worked in the logging industry ending up at Weldwood where he worked the river and in The Sawmill.
Charles took early retirement spending his time gardening, woodworking in his workshop and fishing. Together Charles and Marie traveled to the Prairies often to visit family. Charles was predeceased by his parents and his three sisters.
