Christina was born July 31, 1915 in Indian Head, Saskatchewan. In 1937 she married Alois Schutz after which they had eleven children. Life on the farm was hard but she always managed to care for her family.

In 1986, several years after losing her husband, Christina moved to Quesnel to be closer to family. She spent time with her children and grandchildren and did a lot of traveling. Christina loved to get out and could be found doing the river walk almost daily. She regularly attended bingo, exercise classes, line dancing and a quilting group.

She was a very caring person as was evident Sundays when she went to the hospital to visit patients.

Christina is survived by her daughter Cecilia (Myles) Suranyi and sons Bernard (Maril), Tom (Pat), Joe, Rupert (Rosita), Al (Denise), Paul (Debbie), Dave (Kathy), fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one sister Edna Wourms. She was predeceased by her husband Alois and Children Verna, Clarence and Christina.

Christina will be sadly missed by family and friends.

The Schutz family would like to thank the Baker Lodge staff and Dr. Dercksen for their kindness and excellent care given to our mother.
