In loving memory of a wonderful husband, devoted father and grandfather. His family is sad to announce his passing on May 23, 2010 in Qualicum Beach, BC.
He is survived by wife Ruth of 53 years, his daughters Noreen, Nancy (Dave), Sandy (John) and five grandchildren, Lisa, Beverlee (Derek), Andrew (Tara), Christopher & Candis. He is also survived by his brother Clark (Frances), sister Gerona, as well as in-laws Joseph Negrin, Norm (Joyce) Hall, John Hall and Muriel Davidson as well as many other relatives in Canada and Scotland including his special Aunt, Rona Gibson. Predeceased by his sister Agnes Negrin, and brother and sister in law Dave and Gladys Hall.
He was born on December 15, 1929 in Richard, Saskatchewan and came to BC in 1946, joining the PGE (BC Rail) in 1951. He worked in management in several locations including Prince George and North Vancouver before transferring to Quesnel in 1970. He had very special memories of the twenty years he lived in Quesnel, maintaining many of those friendships for life. He retired after 39 years and moved to Qualicum Beach where he spent most summers. He wintered in California, before spending twelve winters at Country Roads RV Park in Yuma Arizona where he enjoyed shuffleboard, dancing, hiking and socializing with friends from Canada and the States. Through the years he enjoyed a full and varied life which also included travelling, RVing, curling, skiing, square dancing, boating, and golfing. He was a member of PGOSA, Circle 8’s and QBM Golf Club as well as the QB Lawn Bowling Club. He volunteered at several service clubs including Jaycees, Rotary International and the Quesnel Hospital Board.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
