Cornelia Wilcox (Arnoldus)

June 8, 2006

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of “Corry” on June 8, 2006 in Cranbrook.

Corry was born in Kersley on August 15, 1922 and attended Sister’s Creek School.

During the war, she moved to Prince Rupert and after getting married, she and her husband moved to the coast and spent many years on Vancouver Island.

She and her young son Melvin moved back to Quesnel, where she worked in the Post Office and the hospital.

In later years, she and her husband managed apartments in Prince George and Kamloops.

Corry made many friends all over the province. She was noted for her great sense of humour and her generosity in helping others.

She was predeceased by her brothers Teddy, Andre and Harold, sisters: Josephine Lund and Memi Ponuick.

Corry is survived by her son Melvin (Margurite) Lapinski, sisters Paulina Wilkinson, Lucy Grant and numerous nieces and nephews.
