In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel Evan Larsen announces his passing on February 8th, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. Dan was born June 26th, 1956 at the family's Quesnel River farm, just months after his parents had moved the family from Saskatchewan.
Dan loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and just being out and about, especially with family.
Dan worked in the logging industry since his teens and had become, by all accounts one of the best machine operators in the business. He spent the last 30 years building road for Clausen Logging Ltd.
Dan is survived by his partner Debbie Kelly; son Brian (Nicholai); daughter Heather (Craig); stepchildren James (Vanessa), George (Kammara), and Brittany (Dave); grandchildren Korbin, Autumn, Erin, Savannah, Ryan, Lucas, Kayla, Josh, Nevaeh, Quinn, and Summer; six brothers Arnie (Janet), Butch (Joanna), Bob (Josi), Milt (Bo), Gordon (Wendy), Wilf (Lisa) and sister Pat (Rob); brother-in-law Max Woskett (Marg) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.
He is predeceased by his dad (Ellwood), mom (Mary), niece Kristina, and granddaughter Kalila.
A private family service will be held at a later time.
Then fear not, my friends, to leave me
In the boding autumn vast;
There are many things to think of
When the roving days are past
Leave me by the scarlet maple,
When the journeying shadows fail,
Waiting until the Scarlet Hunter
Pass upon the endless trail.
