David James Oaten (Dave) passed away suddenly at home June 24, 2005. He was born in Wellington, England, Dec. 16, 1952.
David moved to Canada with his family in 1968, and the last few years he lived in Quesnel, where he was employed in the logging industry.
Dave will be remembered for his kindness, compassion and his big heart. He was known for his great sense of humor and was always telling jokes or stories to make others laugh.
David is survived by his loving and devoted parents Bryn and Gwyn Oaten of Nanaimo, B.C., six sons Kane (Leslie), Dustin (Leanne) and granddaughter Madison, Cory (Mindy), Ryan, Blaine and Jayson, his sister Susan (David) Weldwood, brothers Timothy (Kim), Phillip (Penny) and his very special friend Mike Jennen.
A memorial service will be held for David at Clayton’s Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 4 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
