David Williams was born at Shellmouth, Manitoba on October 2, 1921 to David and Norma Williams. He passed away on April 18, 2008.
He was educated in Shellmouth and served with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1940 to 1947. He moved to Barkerville in 1947, to Wells in 1951 and then Quesnel in 1992 where he resided until his passing.
David is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Williams, daughter Kathleen Landry, sons Ron (Marisue), Darrel, Alan (Kymm), sister Pat, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church with Rev. Teri Meyer officating. A reception tea followed the service at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #94.
