With great sadness, we announce the passing of Debra Leanne Becker (Dale) age 43, on May 17, 2009, at Agassiz, B.C., after a lengthy battle with Huntington’s Disease (HD).
Debra was born in Quesnel, B.C. on Oct 20, 1965, and had her schooling here, after which she became an X-Ray technician and worked for many years in Ft. St. John hospital. As her health deteriorated, Debra eventually chose to live in a Care Facility in New Westminster for 4 years, after which she moved to another facility in Agassiz shortly before her death.
She will always be remembered for her positive outlook and cheerful attitude in the face of great and many losses.
Debra is predeceased by her father Bill Dale in 1979 and brother Rodney in 2006, as well as other close family members who also had HD.
Deb is survived by her mother Pat (Ernie) Hildebrandt, formerly of Quesnel/Kersley area, now a resident of Chilliwack, B.C.
A memorial service was held in Chilliwack in her honor and a final graveside service will be held at the Quesnel Municipal cemetery on Sept 3,2009 at 2 p.m. All friends and family are welcome.
