Del passed away peacefully at home in Greenwich, Nova Scotia on Sunday, Mar. 7, 2010 surrounded by family.

He was born in Kerrobert, Sask. on December 21, 1930, the youngest of eight children to Harvey and Susan Taylor, he grew up in Turtleford, Sask. where he met and married Lois Brown in 1952. They had three children Lane, Rick and Clarence.

When the children were small they moved to Quesnel, B.C.

Del and Pat Myers opened a welding shop (Mine Mill) in Quesnel.

Del was a member of the Quesnel Elks and was Exalted Ruler in 1978. He enjoyed curling and was an ardent fisherman and camper which he continued when they retired in Nova Scotia.

Del was predeceased by his son Clarence, parents, brothers Jack (Rita), Bob (Jean), Doug and Jim, sisters Olive (Johnny) Goodman Violet (Rod) Blackman.

He is survived by his wife Lois of 57 years, daughter Lane )Hugh) McLelan, son Rick (Cheryl), grandchildren Troy, Renee, Tyson and Amanda, great grandson Chase, brother Murray (Anne) and many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many close friends.

There will be an Elk’s Memorial Service held later this summer in Quesnel.
