Dennis Law

Dennis Law was born on February 6, 1931 and passed away on January 9, 2006 after a long, hard courageous battle with cancer.

Dennis was born in Timmins, Ontario.

He traveled to Knaresborough, England in 1939 where his father had a pub called the “George and Dragon”.

He joined the Royal Navy as a Boy Seaman in 1947. He then transferred to the Canadian Navy in 1953 where he was a diver.

Dennis started the Cariboo Hotel in 1969. He retired in 1989 with wife Audrey, and together they enjoyed many traveling adventures and a happy life.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife Audrey, three daughters, Gail Oakley, Darlene (Sid) Cyca, Kathy (Rick) Black, stepchildren Brian (Dianne) Northup, Donna (Dave) Pilkington, Susan Walker (Rick Grisdale). Dennis has 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Dennis will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1872, Oliver, BC, V0H 1T0.

A memorial tea to celebrate Dennis’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Seniors Centre, 461 Carson Ave., Quesnel, B.C. Arrangements entrusted to Graham Funeral Home, Oliver and Osoyoos, B.C.
