It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Dianna Lynn Bergunder.
Born to Lewis and Myrtle Johnson in Summerland, BC, Dianna grew up alongside five sisters: Shirley Morgan (Ted), Lorraine Ostlund (Lockie), Bonnie Elliott (Rodger), Janis Gibson, and Beverly Minnett (Gary).
Spending much of her life in Quesnel, BC, Dianna raised two daughters: Rebecca Hay (Gordon), daughter of William Demchuk (deceased), and Cindy Bergunder (Steve), daughter of Stanley Bergunder.
Dianna thoroughly enjoyed crafting and was known to produce many a crocheted doily - many of which she lovingly gave away. She loved to listen to music, dance, play cribbage and Yahtzee - yet most of all Dianna lived to take care of others.
She shared many homemade meals and baked goods with family and friends over the years! Especially gifted with caring for and befriending the elderly, Dianna spent the majority of her working life doing exactly that.
Dianna leaves to mourn her two children, four grandchildren (Megan and Gregory Hay, Kayla and Taryn Benton), sisters (Lorraine, Bonnie, and Beverly), brother-in-law's, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her father, mother, and two sisters (Shirley and Janis).
Dianna will be dearly missed by both her family and her dear friends, of whom she considered family. A celebration of life, where family and friends can come together to share memories of Dianna through laughter and tears, will be held in the future when we are all able to come together in her honor.
