It is with great sadness that the family of Donny Williams (Donald Robert) announce his passing March 9, 2016.
Don was born at and lived in Quesnel most of his life. Don loved turkey dinners, vanilla milkshakes, gold and rocks and vintage cars. He had a great eye for landscape design, loved to be outside trudging through the bush, playing golf and visiting the Casino.
Don’s daughter Dawn looked after him for the last two years at Victoria, BC. Don fought passionately and courageously against a rare disease called Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy that stole his independence; but he never let it take his dignity. “Little Dawn” as she is affectionately known was the light of her Dad’s life and was by his side when he passed away.
Don is survived by his daughters; Dawn Williams and Joanie Newman and two sisters; Terry Reimer (Janis, Judy and several great nieces and nephews) and Alice Stoddard (Todd, Kris and great nephew Martin).
A celebration of life for Don will be held in early summer.
