It is with great sorrow that we announce the recent passing of Doreen Heath (nee Constable). With her parents having recently arrived from England, Doreen, an only child, was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1926, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The date of birth was fitting due to her nature and approach to life. Working at a company in Winnipeg, she met Joe, her future husband, and was soon married. Work transferred them to Mexico City in 1950 where their three children, Hilarie, Joe, and Jonathan, were born and raised.
1980 saw them being transferred to Madison, Wisconsin, and finally retiring to Quesnel in 1982. Doreen was active with the Eastern Star, enjoyed reading and travelling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe, who passed away in 2013 after sixty six years of marriage and is survived by her three children, two of them living in Mexico, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
We will miss her generosity and kindness that touched on everyone she met. Doreen will live on in our hearts forever.
