Doris passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on December 14, 2006. She was pre-deceased by her husband Thomas, son Eugene, parents Agatha and Joseph, brother Gerald, sister Agnes. She is survived by her loving children; Anita, Dianne (Brad), Mickey (Marsha), grandchildren; Rick (Krista), Tara (Lance), Lindy, Troy (Cori), Amanda (Joey), Jaymee, Brittany and Kimberley, great grandchildren; Cody, Katelyn, Mason, Kassee, Clarrissa, Zack, Haylee and Zackery, brother; Mike (Emily), sisters; Maggie, Rita, Emily (Dave), Joey (Len), Chris (Dick).
Doris was born March 1, 1927 in Fort Fitzgerald, Alberta. She lived in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories where she worked on the paddleboats and at the Hudson Bay Company. After retirement in 1988 she moved to Quesnel, B.C. She loved knitting, visiting friends and the meat draw at the Legion on Saturdays.
The family would like to express our deepest thanks and appreciation for all of the support from friends, neighbours and co-workers through our sorrow during this time.
At Doris’ request there will be no service. Donations may be made in Doris’ memory to the Cancer Society or the charity of donors choice.
