Dorothy Cruikshank passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C., January 22, 2005.
Dorothy was born at Keppel, Saskatchewan on May 12, 1931 and resided in Surrey, B.C.
She was predeceased by her father Roy in 1935, her mother Elma Anderson, stepfather Arne Anderson, sisters Mabel Ireland, Hazel Rosendahl, (sister-in-law Phyllis Cruikshank, brother-in-laws John Rosendahl, Reinhart Schroder).
She is survived by brothers Lester Cruikshank, Quesnel, Bruce Cruikshank, Victoria, B.C., Bill Cruikshank and wife Louise, Quesnel, Don Cruikshank and wife Ellen, Quesnel, as well as her sister Fay Schroder, Quesnel, brother-in-law Dave Ireland, Vanderhoof, B.C. and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Salvation Army held a service Feb. 1, 2005 at Hazelmere Lodge, Surrey, B.C., with her caregivers and friends.
She was buried in Westbank Cemetery February 4, 2005. A small graveside service and hymns were conducted by her nephew Dale Cruikshank, with eleven family members present.
