It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my beautiful mother, Dorothy Ellen Healy.

Dorothy was born on June 16, 1941 in Nelson, BC as one of four children. Shortly after graduating she began her career in nursing there and after moving to Vancouver in 1967, worked at Vancouver General Hospital for a few years before marrying and moving to Quesnel. She lived for 41 years at her home near Ahbau Creek where she made many close and dear friends. Dorothy enjoyed the company of others and had a great sense of humour. Never one to complain or give up too easily, she always had a kind word or thought to share even during many personal hardships. She was preceded in death by her father Walter Anderson; her mother Edna Marion Hopkins and in 1999 by Omer, her husband of 30 years. She is survived by her daughter Lori (Chris) Eggimann, grandson Hunter and grand-daughters Emma and Natalie. She will be missed more than words can say.

At her request no funeral service will be held. A private family memorial will be held in Nelson, BC in the summer of 2015.
