April 1, 1933 - February 2, 2020
Dr. James Harvey Sherstan, 86, died Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 at the G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel, B.C. of natural causes. He is survived by his wife Betty; children Michele (spouse Jim), Scott, Cindy, and Craig (spouse Rebecca); grandchildren Nicole and Emma, Ian, Andrew and Tayla; and brother Don Sherstan and family.
Jim was born on April 1st, 1933 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. He studied medicine at the University of Alberta and completed a speciality in general surgery in 1967. He met Betty Vallis during his residency in St. John's Newfoundland and they married in January of 1963. Jim practised in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan; Kitimat, B.C.; Sioux Lookout, Ontario; and Quesnel, B.C.
The family would like to thank Dr. McDonald and all the staff at G.R. Baker Memorial for their compassionate care. Thanks also to Clayton Funeral Home for their expert care and attention. Cremation took place on February 5th.
A celebration of life will take place in late Spring.
