Dr. Jarvis William Tompkins

Dr. Jarvis William Tompkins passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 8th, 2007. He was born on December 10th 1924 in Vibank Saskatchewan. He took elementary and high school at Kinistino, Saskatchewan, and completed medical school at the University of Western Ontario in London Ontario. In London he met and married his wife Rose and soon after they moved to British Columbia. In 1949 Jarvis began a medical practice in Quesnel, B.C. at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital and worked out of the Avery Clinic. Later, in 1979, he was employed as a company doctor with West Fraser Mills. He retired in 1989. He is survived by his wife Rose, son Eric, daughters Laura, Katy and Diane, grandchildren Christopher, Vanessa, Daniel, Brianne, Vharay, Thomas, Amira and Layla and great grandchildren Eric, Autumn and Quinn.

A memorial service will be held on September 29th, 2007 at 1 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC.
