DuPerron Iona

October 1, 2004

In loving memory of Iona DuPerron, who was born January 18, 1952 and passed away October 1, 2004.

Iona passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer (you fought a good fight).

Iona is survived by her loving husband very best friend Gilbert DuPerron, their children and best friends Michael DuPerron and Melodee (Brad) Woodcock and their grandchildren (the lights in her eyes) Nickolas, Summer and Lincoln, her mother Lorraine (Gernadi) Mamantoff, her sisters Lori (Michael), Linda, Dede (Rick), Nani, Miona (Jim) and her brother Willy.

Iona was predeceased by her father Neil Robertson and her brother Hutchi.

Iona was born in New Westminster and was raised in Prince George. At the age of 18 she met and married her husband, soul mate of 34 years.

She then dedicated her life to raising her family. When the grandchildren arrived she had a new spark to lead the way. Mama spent every moment she could with her three little ones. Everyone that had the pleasure of knowing Iona had a special place in their heart for her. She touched many lives with her kindness and understanding.

You will live on in us forever and your memory will never die. Until we meet again.

A service will be held outdoors on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. at 1991 Milburn Lake Road, Quesnel, BC. Brother John will be officiating. A wake will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cancer Society.
