Eileen Olsen (nee: Cruikshank) was born on October 7, 1949 in Quesnel and has lived here her whole life.
She married Ross Olsen on August 17, 1968. Together they had five children.
Eileen loved children and also took in many foster children. Two of which lived with her and Ross for almost 10 years.
Eileen was a bargain hunter and loved to garage sale, at times with 4 generations in the car.
Eileen was very crafty and was often seen selling her gifts at local craft fairs.
She dedicated much of her time in service, mostly to many positions served in the Latter-Day Saint Church, which she attended almost all her life. She also served as a Cub/Scout leader for many years with her sons and later as Girl Guide leader with her granddaughters.
Eileen went on to be with her daughter De’Ann and her mother Phyllis Cruikshank on January 2, 2006.
Eileen leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Ross, her children Aaron, Dan (Marcy), Sheila (Bob) and Soren. Her grandchildren, Emily, Katey, Nathan, Kelsey and Mason and her father Lester Cruikshank and her brothers and sisters Garfield (Loretta), Marie, Bill (Florrie), Joanne (Dave), Pauline (Gordon), and Heather (Brian).
Eileen will be forever missed and always in the thoughts of her family, friends and the many lives of people she has touched throughout the years.
