Einar Brekkas was born in Melhus, Norway on July 8, 1917.

He arrived in the Peace River area (LaGlace, Grande Prairie) in December 1929.

He moved to Prince George and Quesnel area in 1951 with his wife Greta and son Glen, where Einar was employed in the forest industry as a sawyer, mill owner, truck owner and employee of West Fraser Timber until retirement in 1982.

Einar passed away peacefully at Dunrovin Lodge on July 13, 2008.

He was laid to rest beside his wife Greta in LaGlace, Alberta.

He is survived by his daughter Darlene and son Glen.
