In Loving Memory ~
On February 13, 2023, our beloved mum Elaine, left this earth to join her parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who had left this world before her.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 61 years Fred, her son Greg (Lori) daughters Terralee (Tom) and Andrea. Seven grandchildren, as well as great-grandchildren, two brothers Art and Chris as well as two sisters Kathie and Lyn.
Elaine was born in Quesnel B.C. and grew up on the Peterson farm, 28 miles south of Quesnel on the west side of the Fraser River in the community of Narcosli Creek ( Buckridge to some)
In Feb 1962 Elaine married Fred and moved off the farm to start a family of her own. They lived in the Cariboo for a few years until they relocated to the lower mainland of B.C. moving back to the Cariboo in 1995, where they built a home at 83 Mile and then one at the top of the hill just south of 100 Mile House.
Elaine was an excellent cook and ran the kitchen at Jake's Pub for five years. In 2016, they moved to Kamloops where she spent her remaining years, knitting slippers, watching curling and cheering on her B.C. Lions, and Toronto Blue Jay's.
A graveside service will be held at the Quesnel Municipal Cemetery on May 27, 2023, at 1 pm, followed by a drop-in Celebration of Life Tea at the Sandman Hotel at 940 Chew Rd, south of Quesnel across from Walmart and Extra Foods.
