Frank Kohlhauser was born January 12, 1931, and passed away suddenly in Birch Island, BC, on January 15, 2008.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 29 years Bev, his children, step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and their families.

Children: Garry Kohlhauser, Linda Moss (Chris), Pearl Kohlhauser (Darrell) Katherine Groot (Neal), Raymond Goyer (Rollene), Paul Goyer, Robby Goyer, Alain Goyer (Cora). Grandchildren: Bobbie Bordeleau (Richard) Kyle Pigeon, Marcee Pigeon, Nathan Groot, Michelle Goyer, Danny Goyer and Todd Goyer. Great grandchildren: Jared Bordeleau, Jesslyn Bordeleau, and Karolynn Pigeon. Brothers: Gerhart Kohlhauser (Caroline) Tony Kohlhauser (Shirley). Frank will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Frank was born and raised in Saskatchewan. His birth certificate reads: “Sec. 31,Tp.54,Rge.24,W3rd,Sask.” Frank moved to BC, and lived in Vancouver, Quesnel, Valemount, Birch Island, Kamloops, Cache Creek, Ashcroft and then back to Birch Island.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Maria Kohlhauser.

Frank was an active member of the Lions Club and served 4 terms as President. He spent a good part of his life logging, sawmilling, working as a mechanic and let us not forget, wheeling and dealing. Jan 12th was Frank’s 77 birthday. He touched base with all his treasured family in his last days. Frank was a big man with a big heart, big laugh, and big love for his family, his friends, his projects and commitments.

No funeral will be held by request. Family and friends will hold a tribute in his honor on January 26, 2008.
