Frederick Lance Parr

It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick Lance Parr, known to many as 'Snake,' announce his passing June 26, 2006 in Fort St. John.

Lance was the son of Catherine and Frederick Parr (deceased). He was born October 10, 1967 in Quesnel and attended Kersley elementary school. Lance graduated from QSS and attended college in Prince George.

A constant throughout his life, Lance loved all sports.

Until three years ago, Lance lived his entire life in Quesnel. He was a fireman, played for the Kersley Kodiaks and worked for West Fraser Mills for 11 years. He also worked for Heppner Masonry and Pinnacle Pellet.

Most recently, Lance drove a steam truck in Fort St. John.

Services for Lance were held July 5, 2006 in Kersley Arena with Jack Grant officiating. Pallbearers were Derrick Parr, Rory Parr, Mike Parr, Steve Murdin, Shawn McCall, Al Hodgins and Greg Bramwell. All the ball players were honorary pallbearers.

Patti Parr delivered the eulogy.

Numerous friends and family members together with all the ball players planted a tree beside the Kersley ball diamond in Lance’s memory. Many stories were shared.

Interment was at Quesnel Cemetery.

Lance is survived by his mother Catherine Parr, his daughter Sasha and son Chance, his spouse Kathryn and her son Isaac, brothers Derrick (Peggy), Mike (Gina), Rory (Patti) and sisters Janice (Jason), Arlene and Tracy (Brock).

He was predeceased by his father Frederick George Parr and niece Tiffany.
