Genevieve was born at Gilbert Plains Manitoba, February 23, 1934.

She had four brothers and five sisters. She grew up on the family farm, completed her schooling to become a school teacher. While teaching in the Minitonas area, she met her future husband Ken Cryderman. They were married in Kitimat in 1957 and moved around BC as Ken worked construction. They settled in Quesnel and raised their family of 2 sons and 2 daughters.

Gen worked as a substitute teacher in the school district. Ken and Gen were regulars at the Old Time Fiddlers dances and part of the Quesnel Vintage Car Club. Gen was involved with Boy Scouts, Guides and Brownies while her children were growing up. In her later years, she spent much time in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also loved to sew, knit and crochet.

Gen was able to travel and be involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, all of whom she was very proud of.

She was also very involved with her church, helping in any way she could.

Gen will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also missed by her brothers, sisters and her very large extended family as well as many friends.

Memorial Service to be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church May 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
