George Oram was born March 14, 1931 in Burnaby, B.C. and passed away on May 26, 2005 in Penticton Hospital following severe spinal column injuries incurred on May 21, 2005 by a serious fall in Quesnel.
George was a long time resident of Quesnel. He will be missed by patrons and friends he faithfully served so many years on his four newspaper routes with the Quesnel Cariboo Observer.
George was predeceased by his mother, Florence Oram-Lawrence of Quesnel.
He is survived by members of his family, all formerly of British Columbia. His aunt and uncle William and Adele Oram, their three children Gayle Hedensten, Ralph Oram, Teresa Winkler, all of Olympia, Washington, adult cousins Roy, Melvin, Donald, Dennis, Russell and Pat Kelley and their families currently residing in Washington, California and Texas.
Interment will be at the Quesnel Municipal Cemetery Monday, June 6th at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that remembrances may be sent to a charity of choice.
